Mother’s Day – Thank You

Mother’s Day – Today I salute the Mothers in our lives.

Thank you to my own Mother. Thank you for all your love, compassion, and understanding. Thank you for being a fantastic Grandmother to your Grandchildren. Thank you when you didn’t agree, but stood by us. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for seeing under the surface. Thank you for being THEIR Grandmother. Thank you for being you.

Thank you to their mother. Without whom, I wouldn’t have had them.

Thank you to our friends. They show what mothers are. They show what mothers should be. They show how mothers keep their children safe.

Thank you to those who struggle at being mothers. You don’t give up. You don’t flaunder. You brush yourself down. You say tomorrow is a new day. You show what mothers do,

Thank you to those who have struggled to be mothers. I wish I could take your pain away. I wish. I wish. I wish.

Thank you to all the mothers who are not perfect, who blunder their way through, who simply are trying their best.

Thank you to the mothers who sing out of tune, who dance to an unknown song, and who laugh at the unfunniest of things.

Thank you to the mothers who can’t sew, or bake, or create.

Thank you to those mothers who try, who can , who do.

Happy Mother’s to you.
